About Us

         Who We Are:
  •  In the dusty lanes of Nangloi in early 2012, Shree Dharampal Rathi Ji encountered little Aarav, a
seven years old but already working as a rag-picker to feed his siblings. Moved, he gathered local
volunteers under a torn tarpaulin and began teaching Aarav to read and write. That handful of
children became dozens. Those dozens became hundreds. Today, Prarambh has nurtured over
1,200 young learners, and Aatam Sodhan thrives through five pillars of change.
Since 2012, Aatam Sodhan has stood on the dusty lanes of Nangloi slum with one simple belief:
transformation begins from within. Under the guidance of our founder and chairman, Shree
Dharampal Rathi Ji, we ignite hope in every corner—through classrooms, community circles, and
    sapling nurseries.
1. Prarambh – Every Lesson, A New Beginning

In a world where 258 million children are out of school, and Delhi’s slum areas see dropout rates above 25%, Prarambh creates non-formal                 classrooms and remedial centres.

         What We Do:

  • Bridge Classes: Intensive literacy & numeracy for ages 6–14.
  • Dropout Prevention: Home visits, counselling, and material support (uniforms, books).
  • Performance Boosters: Peer mentorship, remedial workshops, and digital-learning sessions.
  • Scholarships & Linkages: Connecting deserving students to government and private scholarships.
  • Weekly small-group classes in reading, writing, and numeracy
  • School reintegration support: enrollment drives, uniforms, transport
  • Mentorship circles matching youth with near-peer tutors

       Vision

A world where every child dreams without bounds, every woman leads without fear, every family
thrives in health, and every street blooms with green.

        Mission

  • 1. Educate out of school and struggling children to unlock their potential.
    2. Empower women with skills, rights awareness, and economic independence.
    3. Promote holistic health and hygiene across the community.
    4. Green the urban landscape to foster environmental resilience.
